OR......
terrifying.

Anyhew...I also have pictures of decorating with old books in my Pintrest. There is something magical about old books. I even found a book printed in the 1800's! WOW.

So...then I saw this on Pintrest too. The old books...the bird sitting on top...{ding ding ding...on goes the lightbulb} See where I'm going with this? :)

So, I went to our local thrift store, (Hello, Rainbows End!) and found ALL of these things!

I love how the books add a pop of color to the room. And I love my new little friends.

OH!!! That totally reminds me...another cute owl is the no sew felt owl plush on my tutorial list on the sidebar! If you would like the tutorial and the template click {HERE}!

Oh owls! They are SO fun and can spruce up a space with their oversized eyeballs and cute beak... in fact, I just bought a white ceramic one at Michael's yesterday for 3 dollars- holla! They are a bit oversaturated on Pinterest but I love love love them and can't get enough! :) Oh, and if that little girl jumped me in that mask I would probably push her over and run for my life... ha!
ReplyDeletePS: Love that plush owl! Hoot hoot!
PPS: Sweet finds!!! I will probably copy you! Thanks Nat! xoxo

THAT FABRIC IS SO CUTE! Thanks a lot. Now I'm going to have to buy some.
ReplyDeleteHow CUTE are those first owls?!? I second the scariness and utter creepiness of the second batch--YIKES! I LOVE your new table decor sooooo much. There is sonething about having books in home decor that is just classy. And the white owl and lamp are the perfect touch!! I need to pick your creative brain when we move to a bigger house one day and I feel like putting more effort into decorating! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the cutsie owls!! I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to the cuties! :) Not so much a fan of the mean looking ones though. Isn't that anthro owl to die for? Not the price though! HATE IT!
