Craft Fairy Vomit

My family deserves a big pat on the back today. Would you like to see what my kitchen table looked like all day? Be prepared for a shocker. I'm talking, like, the ULTIMATE craft mess here. It totally looks like the craft fairy came and vomited all over my kitchen. I've numbered everything I've done at this table today.

1. I sewed throw pillows for the living room makeover I'm in the middle of. Here's a teaser...

2. Fabric scraps to make THESE BABIES! Yes, I totally made a TON of necklaces. LOVE THEM.

Then I hung them all on my new necklace holder I made. It was originally an old Americana sign, but I spray painted it, added some white rosettes like the ones on my frames, and screwed in some of those hook things from the hardware section. So easy...it's almost not right.

3. VINYL!!! My husband FINALLLLY let me get a Silhouette! I can now die happy. So, I made some fun stuff today, but I'll save that for a later post. :)

4. My phone. My family is in Utah for Spring Break. *sniff sniff* Eating at Cafe Rio...and Pizza Factory...and drinking apple beer (it's non alcoholic), going to Downeast, and Tai Pan...and having fun with my brother at BYU without me. So sad. So I talked to my mom a few times today.

5. Mounting tape, for another Silhouette project...which I'll also show later!

It was a FABULOUS day of listening to General Conference sessions (SOOOO GOOOD!), making crafts, bike rides with the kids, watering the lawn, watering my parent's plants (and fake plants...shhhhh!) and baking some chocolate cookies for the Hubbs to eat when he came home from the Preisthood session to lighten the blow of seeing the kitchen table disaster.

Now... I'm off to go clean up the craft fairy vomit. Have a FABULOUS Sunday, everyone!

You got a Sillouette?!?! I am so jealous! Also, you and I need to get back our old habit of going thrifting together. I swear I see the same stuff you do there, but I just don't see the potential that you do.

LOVE these- all of the colors and textures! And, Miss NatSprat, we have to talk about your necklace hanger- SO COOL! Can I feature it on my blog tonight? I'm doing a post on different jewelry organization ideas, so clearly, this is perfect. Let me know if you are interested.

I love you blog!! The things you make are so cute :) So for the necklaces do you just hot glue the flowers on it?

Natalie said...

Thanks, Breon! Yup, you just glue them on! Easy peasy!
