Holy Moley 2

Phew, what a week so far! We went to the funeral for the baby that passed away last week yesterday...it was a very touching funeral. It was so hard to see such a tiny little casket up in the front. And I couldn't stop thinking about my own kids. Especially with Aaron's whole scare with his mole that he had removed. Could my little Aaron die of cancer? Yesterday he had to go back in to the doctor to have more of the tissue removed from his foot for testing. Our family doctor read the results to me, and it sounds pretty scary. Apparently the cells that they found from Aaron's mole are from a scary kind of cancer that instead of sending out little "fingers" and spreading, the cells can just multiply and make their way through the tissue and start growing their own cancer around the area. Kind of like spores spread and start growing their own little patches of mold. (Eeeeeeew.) So he had to take a pretty big chunk out of Aaron's foot. I think the worst part was just the numbing shot, Aaron cried all through that. So, once his foot was all numb I thought we were in the clear. We went back to the surgical room and prepped his foot. I had a children's magazine to look at with him while they worked on his foot to keep him distracted. But, about half way through, he sat up and looked at his foot and went pale as a ghost! He had started going into shock! He got cold and clammy and said that his stomach hurt. Then he started gagging like he was going to throw up. And then, he just went limp and fell back! I was so scared! So they tilted the chair all the way back to put his feet above his head and wiped him down with cold rags to get him to wake up. He was out for about 5 minutes. When he finally came to they gave him a juice box to get some sugar into him. Poor little guy, I felt so bad for him! They finished stitching him up and we were good to go. I hope that was the last time we have to do that...and I hope the test results come back okay. In the meantime, Mr. Aaron got a new bike for being so brave! I think I'll take the kids out for a ride. :) Until next time....have a great St. Patricks day!

Sounds awful!!! I totally almost pass out every time I get my blood drawn--I'm sure I would have thrown up/passed out getting a hole dug out of my foot. Poor Aaron! I hope that's the last time you have to go through that.

Btw, thanks for all the awesome tutorials on party decorations--everything is so cheap and doable!

Oh and I will totally take you up on your offer on the jewelry thing. I need to finish listing some more stuff, but I'll let you know! Thanks!!

Poor kid, poor mom. I would panic. When Rhett had that micro stroke a special nurse came in with a dialysis machine and while doing dialysis Rhett let out a horrible scream and crouched up in horrible pain. The machine was pulling the blood too fast causing cramps. I panicked and grabbed some wet clothes to wipe his sweaty head while the nurse (who had to stay with him and the machine for the whole 3 hrs) turned down the machine and put some fluid in the tube. I dont want to go threw that again. Good luck with Aaron and hope you dont go threw that again.
