I have decided to go on a DIET! (oooh, the "D" word!) I heard from a little birdie that my stomach could use some work, so I am starting the "Abs Diet" and I'm excited to see how it goes. Right now I'm at 125 lbs, and I'd like to lose about 10 pounds. I read the book last night and it sounds like a pretty good plan. The usual "watch what you eat" and "here's your exercises for today" kind of book. I can use my weights and do the exercises right here in my living room and then I can use our new treadmill and do cardio for a half an hour every day. And one day a week I can eat whatever I want! What a wonderful day of the week that will be! =) This blog can kind of work as my progress journal, too. Maybe I'll post a before and after picture!

4 people leaving some love!:

What little birdie told you that your stomach could use some work? That is just silly. Nick and I are going to look into this and maybe start on Monday. We can be eachothers cheerleaders!

LOL. I had one of those "honesty" talks with Mike and asked him to just be honest so I could know what to work on. So, better posture, tone up my tummy, and making more of an effort to look pretty for him are on my new agenda. ;)
That would be fun to go on the diet together! I'm so sore today, it's nice, though. I guess that means it's working. =)

Good for you for having an "honesty" talk. Maybe I should try that. Nick and I bought the Abs Diet book on Friday. Nick has read it, I haven't yet but its on my list! So we are starting today. I hope it works and I hope that I can stick to it! We can give each other updates on our progress!

You got it! I've been having "power smoothies" for breakfast and lunch. They're sooo good! I put some oatmeal(probably like 1/4 cup), a scoop of chocolate royal Slimfast, 1/3 C. light vanilla yogurt, a spoon full of peanut butter, a half a scoop protein powder, 8 oz. milk and a half of a frozen banana and blend it up. It's sooooo good, it tastes like something from Jamba Juice. Plus the oatmeal in it keeps me full- it's pretty cool! And I like how the book has how to do all of the exercises in the back. It only takes like an hour total for the cardio and weights, so it's nice because you get it done fast. This will be fun! Let me know what you think when you read the book!
